Mole people are strangers living in the walls of Jim Pickens' home in the Sims 2 and 3. They first appeared in the video "Sims 2 but I have mole people living in the walls", then in "Sims 2 but I have the weirdest family ever", and then four years later in "The Sims 2 but I am a mole person living in the walls". The mole people are also the origin of the "Is Mole available to talk?" meme.

There are three of them respectively named Mole, Mole2, and Mole3 Pickens. A fourth one, Mole 4 Pickens, appeared in the Sims 3 and had children with Dick Pickens. He came back to life in the Sims 4.

Even though this may be a mistake made by Kevin while creating the characters, or some limitations from the game (especially The Sims 2), it is noted that every mole person has the surname Pickens. We can only wonder if they are related to Jim and his family. Since it was confirmed "The Sims 2 but I am a mole person living in the walls" that they aren't even related to another they are likely not part of the Pickens family.

Privileges, chores, and general personality[]

Mole people have some privileges despite living with Jim Pickens. While they are supposed to be discreet, they can actually roam around the house almost freely. "Almost", as each mole has some particular door they can open, which other moles cannot. One of the biggest privileges they're supposed to have is that no one can access the walls but them. However, it seems that Jim's family and other people can actually go in the walls.

Despite those awesome privileges, they generally have to do chores in the house, such as starting a fire for a so-called sacrifice for the Headmaster, or dealing with intruders when Dick opened his homemade lemonade business. Fortunately, they all love cleaning stuff.

They have three easels so that they can have fun painting, despite Jim not wanting that to happen to them.

Mole[]

While doing his chores, Mole was the one who welcomed the Headmaster that came to see if Jim could attend private school. Mole was the first mole person to be asked for by phone. Jim answered the Headmaster, but he specifically wanted to talk to Mole instead of Jim.

Then, he got a phone call by a random woman. That same woman also called Dick to be able to talk to Mole.

He made a Toy Robot for Jim called "Jim's Robot Army".

He started a fire by using the "Genuine Buck's Famous Counterfeiting Machine" too much. He also used it in front of a police officer who seemed to be Mole3's date from the first episode. Right after the incident, he had a breakdown and kissed a pillow.

Mole2[]

Mole2 is addicted to the ballet bar. He answered the phone when the random woman asked to talk to Mole. He was also called by a woman, but the moles' room was on fire at the moment. That same woman, and later a random man, called him again in the second episode.

According to Kevin, he shares a strong resemblance to Santa, especially Ryland Oakley, and even implies that they may be the same person, even though it is not confirmed.

In order to save time, Dick traps Mole2 in a small area (with "all a Sim needs") to sell homemade lemonade to the neighbourhood.

Mole3[]

Mole3 is the only female mole.

She once called the Gypsy Matchmaking Service in order to find the love of her life. She only paid 37 simoleons for the service, which is not much, but ended up finding a nice-enough man. That man, a police officer, seemed to appear again when Jim randomly called the police. Except for that, he is not seen anywhere else in the series. One woman also called the house to talk to her.

In the second episode, she interrupted the date between Dick and Vanessa Royce, his so-called perfect match. Kevin imagined Dick telling his date that she didn't have to bother, as Mole3 is just a mole person and so is unimportant.

She made Jim a Pet Brick called "Bricks for Jim to throw". She has also been seen using the ballet bar.

Mole 4[]

Mole 4 Pickens appeared for the first time in the Sims 3, in the video "Sims 3 but I ruin the future". As the title says, Jim, Dick, and Mole 4 go to a distant future in order to ruin it and meet their descendants.

During their trip, Mole 4 and Dick go to a hospital and make babies thanks to a future technology allowing the thing. Test Tube, Expiriment, Unwanted, Failure, and THE RECKONING are the result of this.

Mole 4 came back to life in the Sims 4 main series. Dick, who became a vampire and didn't die from old age, used a Frankenstein-like machine to bring Mole 4 back to life. Mole 4 turned into a zombie. By chance, Jim had the means to cure him. In turn, he had to let some of the people in his household go, hence the death fight between Ryland Oakley and Clement Frost.

Game crash[]

At the end of the second episode, Kevin's game crashed, and not everything got saved. For example, Mole2 is seen in his lemonade stand, but Vanessa Royce does not live with the Pickens. As no other Sims 2 episodes have been made so far, the timeline is left open to interpretation.

2023 comeback[]

In "The Sims 2 but I am a mole person living in the walls", Kevin, who also revived the "X, but Y" meme video title, played as the mole people. In this video, though, some rules were added: only play as the mole people, not as Jim and Dick, and never be seen by them (both these rules were broken, though). The walls the mole people live in got bigger and a side goal was added: get "mole babies". Mole2 also got out of his lemonade stand. It is still noted that everyone is addicted to the ballet bar, even visitors, and people still ask if Mole2 is available to talk.

Every mole person paint to get some money, even tough they share money with Jim and Dick. Mole2 desperately waits for e-mails, Mole3 and Mole (who's often called Mole1) are writing a novel. Mole tries to find a girlfriend, mainly Marissa Cleveland who moved in with the mole people, left her family and got pregnant with Mole. Marissa later, while pregnant, proposed to Mole, but he refused to get married. She asked again later and he accepted. Her son and ex-husband got invited. Mole and Marissa's daughter is called Mole4 Cleveland (she took her mother's name), who must not be confused with Mole 4.

Dick got infected with the flu, then Jim caught it, then Mole3 caught it while grabbing some groeceries in the house. Mole3 spreaded the disease to Mole. Mole died soon after. Then, Mole3 and Mole2 died in a fire, leaving Marissa alone in the basement, sleeping.

The main problem of the household seemed to be the lack of food, due to a lack of money.
